2021-Limitless

So, it’s that time again guys. A New Year, New Resolution, New You Boo! Hmmmm… How about we throw all of that out of the window this year? I want to challenge you to do something different this year. For the last 4 years, I have been taking a word that has been (I think divinely) placed in my heart along with an accompanying scripture and calling it my WORD for the year. I hold fast to it, learn as much as I can about it, post it all over my house, and I meditate on it over and over throughout the year. Let me tell you, it has proven to be waaaay more effective than a New Year’s resolution that I can never keep longer than a week.

This year my word is going to be Limitless and Isaiah 55:9 is my scripture.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

It gives me such peace knowing that HIS ways are better than my feeble, humanly, idiotic, selfish, lack filled ways and ideas and plans. We won’t ever be able to understand HIS full limitless power, ways, thoughts, and plans, but I am going to trust that He will give me a glimpse into the limitless life that He has orchestrated for me from the beginning. I am choosing this word because for so long I have limited myself.  I have settled for things less than the best for me and my children. I have been stuck with a lack mentality, (probably from past family rearing) and now I’m ready to let that part of me go.  I no longer want to see myself as a victim, as lacking in finances, love, health, and ALL THE THINGS. So, I’m going to do the research, meditation, therapy, and whatever else needed to get me out of this mentality I have held so long.  Maybe I won’t get there by the end of the year, but that’s ok.

My suggestions for you, is that if you are struggling with something, choose a word that is opposite to your struggle, a positive word that overcomes your weakness. . Last year my word was TRUST- “Trust in the Lord with all you heart…..he will direct your paths” bc I was struggling with control issues and direction needed in my life. Instead of trusting myself and trying to control things, I memorized this scripture and when I needed it, it was there, in my heart, to help me get through whatever I was going through at the moment. This proved to be oh so helpful navigating through 2020 when literally nothing else could be trusted.

Do you have Word for the year yet?  Do a little bit of thinking and meditating on where you are currently and where you would like to be.  Your word will surely show itself to you.  Drop a comment below and let us know what it is.
