The image below is why I thinking journaling is so important. As I opened my journal this morning to write, I was instead lead to a prayer I wrote on September 9, 2020. As I read over the prayer, it was as if God was reminding me that He knows me. He knows my concerns and thoughts exactly when I have them. Today I want to share this prayer with you and ask that you seek what God has in it for you. 

Father God, thank you for waking me up this morning, God. Thank you for helping me. Thank you for guiding me. Please help me have confidence in hearing your voice. Please help me to step by step be obedient to you. Please keep me focused on doing your will God. Please don’t allow me to get ahead of you, but to continually seek you, God, and do only what you would have me to do, God. Please show me how to live for you, moment by moment, God. Lord, I pray for BeEncourage; God, please be in control. Please help me to submit to your plan in all things. God, please help me only to do what you say to do. God, please don’t allow me to change the plan based on what people say or suggest; help me to be fully obedient to only you, God. Lord, I pray for my children. God, please help me to love and raise them God to love and honor you with their lives Father. Please help me to care for their needs and to guide them in the ways you would have me to, Father. Please help me to help them with whatever needs they have, God. Show me how to be patient with them, to love them, and to teach them, God. Help me to prioritize correctly. God show me daily and moment by moment how to balance the task that you have given me. Help me to rely on your strength God. Help me to focus on you and to trust you with all that you are doing. I know that you are with me and are helping me.

Lead me, God, in doing only what you desire of and from me. God, I pray for my son; God, please help my son grow in wisdom and understanding. God, I pray for my daughter. God help my daughter have a heart that desires you, God. Help her to love you, God, and want to learn of you. Lord, I pray for my husband, God, please help him desire you, God. Please don’t allow his heart to become so stubborn that he no longer hears from you. Help him to hear from you. God, help him to seek you. God, help him to live you, Father, God, grow his trust and faith in you, God. Lord, I pray for my pastor, continue to use him, God.

Strengthen him, Father. Continue to develop him as a firm leader for your kingdom God. Help him share your word boldly and to proclaim only your truth, God. Lord, I pray that you continue to give him physical strength. Help him be obedient in completing the task you have for him, God. Lord, I thank you for the many people you have put in my life to pray for me and care for me. Continue to protect and strengthen them, God. Help me honor them the way you would have me do, God. Lord, I pray for every person on my prayer list. God help me to remember to pray for them always, God. Please be with them and meet their needs like only you can God. Show me how to be the vessel, you desire me to be, to them when and if that is what you want. Help them, God. Lead them, God. Be present among them. In Jesus’ name, amen.
