Those who are anxious about the election, have fear, or creating fear about the election, remember this Jesus’s control does not change. His authority is not based on humans but, ultimately, his purpose. Take a trip through the old testament and learn the errors and consequences of leaders who did not seek to follow Gods’ guidance, regardless of who persons are. Also, look at the compassion and faithfulness of God to his people.

The Old Testament teaches us how to handle human authority. Many are not reading and preparing; we are too busy sharing worldly passions and opinions. When we should be focused on seeking what the Lord has to say about all circumstances, it is wise to be prudent; however, it is not wise to put worldly thoughts, knowledge, and behaviors equal to God’s ways and actions or capabilities.

The Israelites had to learn this lesson many times. Yet, the people of Nineveh heard the warning once before they turned to the Lord from their ways.
