I have a best friend who has never held back on telling me the truth. Over the past few years, together, we have been growing in Christ and sharing that growth. What I have learned on this journey is that God gifts each of us with different spiritual gifts. One of her skills is seeing in others what they can not see in themselves and sharing a biblical perspective on those gifts.

One of my weaknesses is that I find it hard to embrace the gifts God has given me. Any gift that, if not balanced with humility, can be a negative thing. For example, my ambitious nature can be viewed as a bad thing, and I tend to look at it negatively. Fearing that I am out of God’s will when using the gifts, He has given me. My dear fear reminded me last night that God created me this way. He knows what motivates me and inspires me. He also knows my heart’s intentions.

I am so grateful for the people God has placed in my life. Who in your life are your thankful for? Why? Do they help you spiritually stay in tune?
