BeEncourage Resale Ministry has received so much positive feedback and support that I am awed. Even when I expecting God things from God, He still surprises me and exceeds my expectation far beyond what I could have imagined. Seeing Him connect people, resources, and ideas is mind-blowing to me. Each step I take, He clears the way for more. I would be a fool even to attempt to take credit for what God is doing. This ministry is far beyond me, yet he is allowing me to be apart of it. I am just thrilled by Him and His workings in my life.  

All of my life, I have shopped at thrift stores. Once I became an adult and could afford to shop in a regular retail store, my favorite place to shop was thrift stores. They still are my favorite places to shop. However, most thrift shops put little emphasis on customer service or quality of clothing. So, I knew going into this to get good quality clothing and sell them for as cheap as possible; I would have to have them donated versus purchasing them from others. The response has been unbelievable. 

As I pondered these things, I thought of others. When operating any business, including ministry-focused, there are expenses, and there are gains. Having all the items donated to the store lowers the store’s expenses because I do not have to purchase merchandise. I am not sure what the gains will be, but I am sure that I want it clear to all who donate that this business is not for me to become rich. The goal of the money earned from this business will be to:

1. Cover the cost of remaining business expenses to keep this ministry available for those who need it.
2. Provide more financial freedom for my family so that we may give more.
3. Develop and grow other ministry-focused businesses and projects in our community. 

Please know I am grateful for every donation. I want to always walk in honesty, openness, and integrity. Your donations are indeed a blessing. I also ask that you pray with me and for me.

Prayer list:

Pray for me as I continue to seek God’s wisdom on stewardship. 

Pray that I use all the resources entrusted to me wisely and with integrity.

Pray against greed. 

Pray that the items donated will meet the needs of those who come. 

Pray that every person has an encounter with God–that they experience a part of his character through his representatives.

I am also in search of an electric stove and refrigerator. These two items are not necessary to the resale ministry in itself but will allow me to prepare meals for my family (and whoever else God sends for me to feed) while serving at the store from 5 pm-8 pm.
